The Friends of the Flemington Free Public Library is pleased to present
the Academy Award winning movie, Green Book, next Wednesday evening,
April 3, starting at 7 PM at the library on 118 Main Street (enter on
Maple Ave). The movie is shown free of charge and the public is very
welcome. Popcorn will be provided.
This 2018 American biographical comedy-drama about an African American
classical and jazz pianist and his Italian American drive and bodyguard,
which takes place in 1962, was inspired by a true story.
The film won best film award from the National Board of Review, a top
ten film of the year honor from the American Film Institute, a Golden
Globe best picture award and three Academy Awards (Oscars) for best
picture, best original screenplay and best supporting actor.
