Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes March 21, 2025
The March Flemington Free Public Library (FFPL) Board of Trustees Zoom meeting was called to order at 9:32 am by Board President Jane DeHaven.
In attendance by Zoom was Warren Buckleitner, Liz Fisher, Adrianne Fusaro, Steve Rogow, James Rossetti and Library Director Errol Logan.
MEETING NOTICE STATEMENT
This meeting was called in accordance with the provisions of the Open Public Meetings Act. Notice was sent to the newspapers of record, The Courier News and The Hunterdon Democrat, and posted on the library’s website and bulletin board.
REVIEW OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
The minutes of the February meeting, along with the minutes from this meeting, will be reviewed and approved at the April meeting
TREASURERS REPORT
Errol walked us through the Treasurer’s Report; it was noted that in the current format, some of the columns were not adding up. Liz and Jane asked that future Quickbooks reports be revised so that they are in a monthly format, with totals that match. Warren suggested that we hire a temporary Quickbooks consultant to help with the transition to the new Library Director. There were questions about how the bills were paid using a credit card (resulting in an extra fee). Other bills of particular interest are Elizabethtown Gas, snow removal and Bluehost. Some of the bills were double paid which might explain why they are so high.
Errol was asked to make copies of all the bills for the board by the end of the day. He will post them as PDFs in a shared Google folder.
SEWER LINE
The main sewer line in the basement is made of cast iron, and is cracked and needs to be repaired; we have an estimate for $9,636. Jane made a motion to have it repaired, Liz seconded.
STAFFING
Errol reported that five candidates have applied for the open position in the library. The board wil be involved in final hiring decisions.
The meeting was adorned at 10:33 am.
