Meeting Minutes September 16, 2022
The Flemington Free Public Library (FFPL) Board of Trustees Zoom meeting was called to order at 9:35 am by Board President Jane DeHaven. Shawn Armington, Liz Fisher, Grace Fuoti, James Rossetti, Steve Rogow and Warren Buckleitner were present.
REVIEW OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
The minutes of the last meeting were reviewed. Jane approved, and Jim seconded.
TREASURERS REPORT
Liz reviewed several reports over the summer.
Jane made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Grace seconded.
LIBRARY DIRECTORS REPORT
Our beloved former Library President, Anne M. Thomas, died on September 11, 2022. The board discussed options to commemorate her extensive contributions to the library over the years. For the short term we approved spending up to $100 to send a card and flowers. Jane will take care of this. Warren suggested that we brainstorm ideas for something more signification and permanent. This will be discussed in future meetings.
Shawn will set up a meeting with SSP for the basement remediation at Sept 23 or 30 at 9:30 am. Children’s librarian Debbie Moore completed a wonderful summer program. The board wanted to give Debbie special recognition for her hard work.
Should we go fine free? Shawn will send out a link to some materials and a PPT presentation so we can better understand the issue, to be discussed in future meetings.
The meeting was adjourned by Jane at 10:20 AM.
