Author Talk: The Perseverance of Publishing – Sat., April 21, at noon

FREE EVENT: A presentation on traditional publishing, the perseverance needed for success, and how to raise your odds by Mia Siegert, author of JERKBAIT and an editorial assistant at Entangled Publishing. Tips on productive research, how to prepare, and things one should NEVER do when trying to pitch a book will be covered.

Mia Siegert received her MFA from Goddard College and her BA from Montclair State University, where she won Honorable Mention in Fiction (2009 English Department Awards). Her YA novel, JERKBAIT, received favorable praise in Publisher’s Weekly, VOYA, Paste Magazine among others. It made a lot of lists including #1 New And Notable IPG Release, AndPop’s 10 Best YA of 2016, Goodreads Best YA of May 2016, Barnes & Noble Teen Blog Top 12 Indie YAs of 2016, Scribd Best Books of July 2016, and more. Outside of writing, Siegert is a costume designer and an editorial assistant at Entangled Publishing.
