Flemington Free Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes
January 20, 2022
The Flemington Free Public Library (FFPL) Board of Trustees meeting was called to order at 9:38 am by Board President Jane DeHaven. This was a remote meeting via Zoom. In attendance was Library Director Shawn Armington, plus board members Jane DeHaven, Grace Fuoti,, Steve Rogow, Jim Rossetti, Liz Fisher and Warren Buckleitner.
Secretary’s Report:
The secretary’s report from the last meeting was reviewed. Liz moved to approve, and Steve seconded.
Treasurer’s Report:
Liz Fisher led us through the treasurer’s report. There was some discussion regarding the timing of the borough payments. Jane moved to approve; Steve seconded.
Continuing Business and Discussion:
The new Maple Avenue entrance sign has been installed.
Shawn gave us an overview of the current efforts to renovate the basement. After some discussion, the board decided to move forward with the minimum work to make only the basement useable, safe and sound. But price is an issue. SSP will be asked to join us at our next meeting for more information.
NEW BUSINESS
There was no new business.
The regular meeting was adjourned at 10:18 PM

The Flemington Free Public Library (FFPL) Board of Trustees annual meeting was called to order at 10:19 am by Board Vice President Jane DeHaven. This was a remote meeting via Zoom. In attendance was Library Director Shawn Armington, plus board members Jane DeHaven, Grace Fuoti,, Steve Rogow, Jim Rossetti, Liz Fisher and Warren Buckleitner.
SECRETARIES REPORT
The 2021 Annual Meeting Minutes were reviewed. Jane moved to approve the 2021 minutes. Jim seconded.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Jane thanked everyone for the help and support for many years of service.
Liz moved to accept the appointment of staff for 2022
Liz moved to accept the auditor for 2022
Jane moved to use HC democrat and Courier News for 2022
DIRECTOR’S REPORT
Melik Johnson will be the new Borough Library Liaison.
Shawn said 2021 was a difficult year as the Library struggled with COVID-related issues, but was happy to have some normalcy during the summer. The reading program was successful and there were some meeting before the Fall shutdown.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:34 pm
